I know we've barely just started the current campaign and I have every intention of finishing it, however my idea for the next one may require more prep time than a standard fantasy rp so I am posting tentative details on it now so we can start getting ready for it.

The idea is; Anthropomorphic animals (Basically humanoid versions of animals) set in a medieval time period. In this thread I will lay out playable classes as well as species to choose from so that y'all can get at least a basic idea of what kind of character you want to play.

First thing's first, to lay out the world and the standings as far as politics and nations;

The land is very similar to the United Kingdom in that there is a main land (England and Scotland) and a secondary island only slightly smaller than that (Ireland).

The land is split into three major kingdoms, each having their own unique qualities as to how their society is. In the following paragraphs I will go over what species tend to be associated with each faction. As said there are three kingdoms, but there are four factions.

First is Ardonia: A standard monarch system that bears semblance to kingdoms during the Dark Ages. A king rules over the whole of the land, located on the southern edge of the mainland (Where England would be) while Lords appointed by the king are set in charge of certain holds. Monotheistic in religion and society is dependent upon how the current King decides to dictate the laws of his land. Each hold has its own Knighthood.

Next is Felis: Ruled more as Ancient Greece was with each hold or city-state governed by a lord. Matters regarding the land as a whole are decided upon by a meeting of these lords. Lifestyle is comparable to Ancient Greece and religion plays a large role in their culture. They are a polytheistic people and their soldiers resemble Hoplites.

Finally is Tarok: A government system very similar to vikings. A High King is named and several holds are laid out where a Jarl is placed in charge. Much like Ardonia, however the High King does not have absolute power over what happens in his realm, but he does have final say in important affairs. Culture varies between holds, some focus mostly on prowess at arms while others pride themselves in craftsmanship or knowledge of the workings of the world. Polytheistic and, for the most part, a more civilized form of barbarianism. Warriors are most like Vikings

As for the fourth party: They are know by the other kingdoms as "The Scourge." Natives to the lands who were either assimilated into one kingdom or the other or forced off their lands and into hiding. These natives have banded together in a nomadic tribe, living off the land they once called home. They are scattered between each realm of the lands and if they were to unite, the three kingdoms would have much more to worry about than fighting over who will reign over the land as the Emperor of Mirantia (Name of the world as a whole). Warriors are a combination of Woad fighters and Native Americans, polytheistic in their beliefs.

Species available (By realm)
((Bear in mind, any species named below can be found in any realm provided the backstory of the character makes sense as to why they are in a realm they wouldn't otherwise be found in))

Ardonia:
Reptiles (to include dragons)
Horses
Dogs (not wolves)
Felines (mostly cats, not lions, panthers, etc)
Primates (all types)
Rhinoceros

Felis:
Wolves (no dogs)
Felines (including lions, no others)
Avians (mostly birds of prey like hawks and eagles)
Reptiles (as above)
Primates (all types)

Tarok:
Canines (wolves and dogs)
Bears
Gorillas (most common)
Rhinoceros
Felines (no common cats)

Natives:
Deer
Bears
Canines (all types)
Primates (all types)
Horses
Avians (all types)
Reptiles (all types)
Felines (all types)

As stated above, just because you like the sound of a particular kingdom does not mean you have to have a species from that list. These are more of a guideline, but I would like you to try to stick to the lists or at least make it believable that a hawk character would be found in a Tarok society (for example)

Another thing, if you plan on playing a dragon let me know beforehand. They can be pretty retarded and I want to lay down some basic rules as to the power level of the character.

Available Character Classes:
(I am trying to push everyone away from magic since the current campaign seems to rely heavily on it.)
((These character classes are set to their realms))
(((Some classes are repeated throughout the realms, bear in mind that a Scout from Ardonia would be different in terms of gear and training than a Scout from Felis))
Ardonia:
Knight
Archer
Scout
Rogue
Cleric (Let me know if you want to play this one. Again I would like to put a limit on magic this time around)

Felis:
Hoplite (Large shield, gladius and spear)
Javelin thrower
Archer
Scout
Alchemist (Again, let me know if you want to play this one)

Tarok:
Champion (Two-handed weapon, heavy armor)
Warrior (One-handed weapon and shield, medium armor)
Berserker (two one-handed weapons, light to no armor)
Druid (need I say it?)
Axe thrower

Natives:
Rogue
Raider
Druid
Scout
Acher

As stated above, these lists are set. Since each civilization has their own style of combat as well as politics, the playable classes must reflect on each realm. If you'd rather play a more diplomatic character and not focus on combat so much, let me know and I will discuss your options with you.

And now, we get into my idea on how this is going to be run.
The reason behind making four factions available to be played is because I feel that we may get more enjoyment out of a more free-reign style of rp. As in, this world is your oyster. The outcome of the land and this roleplay will depend heavily upon the players. I will throw in hints towards an adventure that would possibly bring everyone together, but it is entirely up to the player whether those hints are taken. This way, player may end up fighting player or two characters may be allied together. That being said I do have an ultimate goal for the end of the rp and that is to bring the land together as a united nation rather than one divided by war. Just how that happens is up to the players.

Character deaths: Given the nature of this style of rp, it is not unheard of that a player's character might die for one reason or another. Really it depends on the player, however if your character is forced into a situation where a normal person would be unable to get out, do what you can to have your character survive but be realistic about it. If it's impossible, cut your losses and make another character. Hell it could even be a different version of the character just lost.

Lastly, realism: I understand anthrofied animals are far from realistic, but I don't want supermen running around the world and making it their bitch. (I.e, a single Tarok Berserker taking on an entire tribe of the Natives and living.) I will post my characters bio once I think of what exactly I would like to play to give an example of what a character should be. One thing I will say is that I would like a "Flaws" category added to your character's bio. It could be anything from being poorly trained in his/her class all the way to being too kind hearted to bring harm to another being without it weighing heavily on the conscience and even being relatively weak in the arms, making them less effective in combat. The choice is yours, but I do not want to have a bunch of perfect beings running around.

To expand more on species and what benefits and downfalls they have, as well as preferred classes:

Canines: Excellent trackers, loyal to a fault, well balanced between agility and strength.
Favored Classes: Scout, Knight, Hoplite, Raider, Berserker, and Warrior.

Felines: Fiercely independant. More agile than they are strong and moderate intelligence level.
Favored Classes: Rogue, Scout, Archer, Javelin thrower, Druid, Raider, Alchemist and Axe Thrower

Bears: Strong in body and mind. Fierce in combat.
Favored Classes: Druid, Champion, Warrior, Berserker, and Raider.

Horses: Strong and durable. More calm than Bears but can be just as intimidating in combat
Favored Classes: Knight, Raider, Cleric, and Scout

Primates: Most adverse of species. Capable of accomplishing anything their minds are set to.
Favored Classes: Any within their realm

Deer: Agile, though extremely frail. Timid by nature.
Favored Classes: Druid

Rhinoceros: Most intimidating when clad in heavy armor.
Favored Classes: Champion, Knight, Druid, Warrior.

Avians: Think elves. Capable of flight to a certain extent.
Favored Classes: Scout, Rogue, Raider, and Archer

Reptiles: Similar in adversity to primates, though slower to get the job done
Favored Classes: Any within their realm

To wrap this up, there are several sub-species of each group. If you would like to know something about a particular type of a species (I.E A dragon out of the Reptile species) Feel free to ask.

Again, I am here to help with any questions about this type of rp that you may have, please do not hesitate to ask.
